Size:

Height: 30-50'; Spread: 20-30'

Character:

Evergreen; upright, oval form; moderate canopy.

Foliage:

Green, glossy, oval leaves 4-6" long. New growth has a slight red tinge. 

Flower:

Small, white, distinctive, but no flowers in clusters 2-4" across, bloom July-August. 

Fruit:

Small, hard, brown seed capsules form in fall and persist on tree. 

Bark:

Mottled, shredding, light brown or reddish bark. 

Tree Care:

High. Early pruning to avoid codominant stems.

Watering Needs:

Special Considerations:

Prefers sun. Does not tolerate strong, steady winds. Tends towards poor rooting from nursery stock. Ensure proper rooting or can have hole tree failure due to fast growth and poor rooting.

Native Range & Notable Traits:

Native to Australia. Low-maintenance street tree once established, well adapted to harsh urban conditions. Disease and pest resistant.
