You are cordially invited to join us on Saturday, November 16th at 11am for The Giving Trees, a harvest brunch and celebration. As urban forest stewards, we understand the invaluable gifts that our street trees provide for our city throughout the year. Trees capture airborne pollutants, absorb carbon dioxide, and serve as natural habitats for pollinators such as birds and insects. On top of these benefits, trees also beautify our city and increase mental health and well-being, creating happier, healthier, and more resilient communities.
We are so excited to be joined by Lewis “Lew” Stringer, Associate Director of Natural Resources at Presidio Trust, and Anthony Castaños, Land Stewardship Manager at Save the Redwoods League and Planting Leader here at Friends of the Urban Forest for a conversation on the important roles trees play in our urban forest.
