About the event
Join us in Duboce Triangle for a fun day volunteering outside with Friends of the Urban Forest. This is a community volunteering experience that will help create ideal soil conditions for pollinator-friendly and drought-tolerant species to thrive. Spend a few hours getting dirty with Friends of the Urban Forest!Â
Please wear layers for weather, sun hat, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle. We will supply the rest!
Our main tasks will be preparing soil by sifting out large rocks, amending the beds with compost, loosening compacted dirt and then mulching the top layer at the end.
Tools provided: shovels, pick-axes and gloves.
