About the event
A "tree-mendous" panel of experts will join us to play Tree Trivia:
Chris Buck, Urban Forester at the San Francisco Bureau of Urban Forestry
Nick Crawford, Acting Superintendent at the San Francisco Bureau of Urban Forestry
Ellyn Shea,  Owner of Garden Guidance  and consulting arborist with the City of San Mateo Â
Phoenix Firestarter, Co-Founder of SF in Bloom and owner of Green Earth Gardeners
Mike Sullivan, Venture capital lawyer and author of Trees of San Francisco
Annika Peterson, Tree Care Manager representing Friends of the Urban Forest
Questions will focus on:
- species identification
- tree parts
- fun facts
- and more!
For the first round, host Booka Alon will ask the experts questions. For the 2nd round, anyone can ask a question. If you "stump" the experts, you can win Friends of the Urban Forest swag or a signed copy of Trees of San Francisco by Mike Sullivan!
The winner will get bragging rights (in the form of a digital frame, Zoom background, posts on our social media channels, etc.) and will be invited to defend the title next year.
This will be a fun way to learn more about the trees of San Francisco.Â
